Sofiya Loriashvili is only 22, but she has already been through a lot: emigration from Ukraine to France when she was a child, partying, addiction, marginality, wandering, rehab and hospitals, travelling and returning to her native country in the middle of covid, on the eve of the war. Hers photographic work is a diary turned towards others, with a raw realism that invites sex, poetry, filth, fantasy and fraternity. Her photos impress and fascinate, like a European and contemporary version of Nan Goldin or Larry Clark. Today, Sofiya is a student at Les Gobelins in Paris, with already five exhibitions to her credit in 2022 alone. She has just published "my last voyage in this fucking world". More to come !
